Springtime

A couple of indications of spring, on a lovely day.  I didn't even notice the insect until I opened the image in Lightroom tonight.  Another piece of dumb luck.  L took the opportunity to ride Meg and was lucky enough to join with one of her regular riding partners who was at the stables as we arrived.  Rather than join them I visited Great Haywood and Tixall and came across these daffodils at the edge of the road.

In the afternoon we popped in to see some old friends who were on grand parent duties.  We spent a couple of hours with them catching up and forever keeping one eye on their grand daughter who, though still less than one, was constantly walking around and getting into mischief.
