2nd World War at Pendennis

The weather forecast was for heavy showers. It was very accurate! As Moira the cleaner was here, we went down to Kimberley Park only for rain to stop play after 45 minutes. I had to go and collect some freecycle buttons anyway so it was all ok.

I have wanted to go up to the Castle this week as they are doing stuff for the children, this week being 2nd World War week. The kids enjoyed the obstacle course, a mock commando assault (with potatoes and drill rifles) and hunting for the Easter Eggs. Mum went on the Half Moon Battery tour and we all enjoyed 2 very well done talks on signals & codes (and Enigma machines/codes/rescue) and the St Nazaire raid.
