Mackintosh Carving
Within the stone-piered side aisle of the Mackintosh Church, there is a series of stone carvings of plant forms.
This is one of the beautiful carvings. It is difficult to imagine how Mackintosh "sold" some ideas to the conservative Free Church as the building is infused with decorative carvings of birds, insects and plant forms. The simplicity of the design is particularly inspiring.
