Happy Birthday Denis

Party time! A bunch of friends met at Chandra’s house to celebrate Denis‘a birthday and have our first party since COVID. The top photo is Kathi and Sue with Pipin and Lulu. The bottom ones are Chandra, Georgeann, Jan and Denis. We gathered at 11:30 and I didn’t get home until after 3:00. We are like family. We all met through a fantastic support group for caregivers of people with dementia. I joined the group in 2014 after Arvin was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. I stayed in the group after Arvin died in 2017 and volunteered until 2020 working with one of the groups for people who have dementia. The group saved my life! What we all find extraordinary is how close we all still are. With just caregiving in common we formed lasting connections and are there for each other whatever happens. What an amazing group of people.
