Orchid

Tom bought this orchid plant for me last year for my birthday. I almost threw it out at the beginning of last summer as it looked pretty rough, but instead I put it in the sunroom, where it really liked the heat. At the beginning of winter I brought it into the house, and about three weeks ago it got one "pod" that looked like it might bloom, but it dried up and dropped off. There were 4 more small "pods" on another branch that gradually got bigger, & this morning when I got up this single orchid was blooming! Was it a coincidence that it bloomed today, on what would have been our 35th wedding anniversary? I think not.  :)
