Attempting to repair a leaky gate valve. It's not ideal having it dripping on to the electrical control box for a large pump. Asked the Plumbing department if they'd any sealing rope for such a repair, and they looked at me blankly, not knowing what I was talking about. Suspect they'd just replace the valve, which wouldn't be any easy option on this 52 year old piece of equipment.
