Osprey at Leighton Moss

We had our first ever visit to Leighton Moss RSPB nature reserve today. Don't know why we have never been when its only 30 minutes away!

I was impressed at how quiet my children were on occasion and how thrilled they were at spotting various birds. Having seen an osprey on the way to Whinlatter earlier this week we were all very excited to see one over the moss today. It was hard to photograph but this was my best shot. Maybe not technically the best shot of the day but such a rare sight in the UK.
