Hanging out the washing

The weather was beautiful this morning when we hung out the washing. Unfortunately we didn't spot when it started raining a couple of hours later. So when we brought everything back inside again this afternoon it was as wet as it was when we pegged it on the line earlier in the day.

I've had quite a productive day. I planted my lupin seeds; wrote 7 pages of feedback for Rachel on her draft paper manuscript for a conference in the autumn; sent my own co-authored journal article to David H and Khristin for internal peer review; roasted celeriac, carrot and parsnip with honey, walnuts and Stilton cheese for supper; and brewed soup.

Oh - and last night I heard from Leo that two papers that we recently submitted to two different journals have both been accepted subject to minor amendments.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike.
