garden squad
We were the garden squad this afternoon. Rejuged one corner and then there’s some serious lopping back to be done in the late spring…. various hebes have become monstrous but cutting back tends to leave bald and patchy bushes. Can any gardeners affirm my plan to give them a severe thinning out and cutting back in late Spring and see if they grow back beautifully? Or should I pull them out and get something more appropriate? They are either side of our front gates and currently look bonkers.
Being in the front garden for the afternoon means I’m feeling very up to date with news from neighbours. I was amused by how much time I spent chatting.
Gratefuls:
1. Plants surviving in spite of my amateur efforts;
2. Online church;
3. A brilliant swimming lesson.
