Will you stop embarrassing me Mum!

Which is what I'm sure my son will be saying in the future when I dig out the photos of him on the potty and then let him know that I actually published them online for all to see!
The thing is, is that I like to record such events as they're really important to me, although I'm not quite sure why, perhaps it's just a Mum thing. I have similar photos of my daughter on the potty so she won't miss out on the embarrassing Mum situations either!

We enjoyed another fairly relaxed day today although we did all go swimming this morning which proved to be a great success. I've been having doubts for some time about the pool that we normally go to as the kids are unable to put their feet on the floor as it is too deep. I'm actually pretty annoyed at myself for not picking up on this sooner as I realise now that it has hindered their progress (especially Olivia who doesn't like swimming), but it was just that the pool is so convenient as we walk to it in minutes that I didn't do anything about it. However the pool that we visited today was great as their were two small pools were both kids could stand up easily and the progress that Olivia made in the time we were there was great as she actually enjoyed swimming under the water for the first time and kept wanting to go under the water to count how many fingers I was holding up. I guess she had more confidence as she knew she could always touch the ground and putting her head under the water and enjoying it is a big step forward for us.

At lunchtime we had to have another indoor picnic which was followed by Olivia building her own den which she spent a couple of hours doing. She used boxes of jigsaws and small cushions to block out the light with the large sofa cushions making the main frame. She even made a sign telling us not to touch it and stay out!
