April Showers

We had a nice day today. Our friends Nicola and Stewart were coming for lunch so we spent the morning preparing lunch, after a quick trip with Dylan to the market for some peppers. We served up a couple of my favourites, chestnut and mushroom bake with cranberries with stuffed peppers and roast parsnips. There was also a shop bought sauce which I didn't think went with the meal, serves me right for not making a nice mushroom sauce.

We then had a good afternoon drinking coffee and chatting whilst watching April do what it does best, produce showers.

Ann and I took Dylan for a quick walk after our guests had left, and managed to get absolutely soaked in today's longest shower. I did manage one or two rain splattered snaps along the way, trying to keep the camera dry under my coat.

Lots of people post photos of daffs so I thought I'd spice the picture up a little and give it a frame - still it's nice to see the daffodils finally in flower, albeit in the rain.
