1972 Peugeot UO-8 10 Speed

My son, Chris, knows how much I love old steel bicycles.
When his friend mentioned he had an old Peugeot and did not have time to continue its refurbishing Chris thought of me and saved it from being recycled.
The bicycle was purchased new by the friend's father-in-law back in 1972; I hope to learn its story.
Though presently a basket case, its excellent condition shows me was a much loved bicycle once upon a time.
The "Green Machine" will be my spring/summer project.
