Burning off branches

Been quite a relaxed day, in spite of prepping for a dinner party.  I'd organised most of it yesterday, so today would be easier.

Did have a worship practice at our church and set up the chairs as well with our Pastor.  

Martin and Jon had pruned the golden palms and we burned them off after dinner.  It was cool enough to enjoy the warmth of the fire.

We had a lovely evening with our friends, biryani turned out great. They enjoyed it all.  Although, my pavlova was a big FAIL!  Don't know what happened there, so we had to resort to a plan B dessert.

Will have another go at it, as I've successfully made them in the past, difference is a fan forced oven?!?!?
