The Unwavering Church

Time change Sunday is really hard on many people, but at FBC, the doors were open on time and the coffee ministry people  and greeters were on the job so that things were ready for the rest of us when we arrived.  We began our service by joining our hearts and voices in congregational praise and worship.  After that, the choir and orchestra and accompanists presented a worshipful arrangement of a song called " Raise Your Hands".  Pastor Wes took us back into Philippians  starting in Chapter 4 and focusing on verses 1-3, concerning the rift between two believers that Paul saw as a danger to the church at Phillipi.  Their conflict does not seem to have been over wrong theology or immorality.  The most prevalent and destructive form of conflict in a church body is morally neutral issues, To combat this in the church body we should have the mind of Christ which means we must think like Christ, we must mission like Christ and we must love like Christ.  And , if we can't resolve the conflict on our own, we should be humble enough to ask for help.    Pastor Wes explains what it means to do all of those things better than I can in the livestream of today's sermon.  It would be worth your while to watch it!
