A leisurely start before a 1030 kick off for Alex's school team. Sunshine and showers and another closely fought game / another narrow defeat. The opposition keeper was the difference between the teams.
And slowly back home for lunch before Tom headed off tae Glesga for Gaelic football. (Won one, lost one)
Dinner and then onto the bikes for Scottish Cup quarter final action at Tynecastle...Hearts v St Mirren. Alex had pointed out it was only a fiver in for him and Tom (£15 for adults) so I figured we'd head along for some entertainment
A cagey first 10 minutes. She turned up late and had no sooner sat down than She was on her feet to cheer Hearts opener.
A belting game (for the neutral) as Hearts 2-0 lead evaporated with a 30 yard screamer bring the visitors level.
Hearts manager isn't one who's usually praised for his tactical genius but 60 seconds after bringing on a substitute, said sub popped up to edge Hearts in front once again. The growls turned to cheers and a 4th ensured Hearts secured a semi final spot.
We rode home, got buzzed by a dude on a nicked motor bike at Drylaw before I slumped in front of MOTD.
Extra is the boys at Tynecastle. Not bad for a fiver.
