Auroras again

A great show, though not quite the same as February 10th. I got a notification on the smartphone app before 7:30 pm, but it wasn't quite dark enough then, so I waited a little and went out before eight, just in time for the best 20 minutes of the show.

In the main blip it's at its best in the north at 8:14. The first extra is towards west nine minutes earlier and the second extra is east a couple of minutes after the main blip. The thirds extra is west at 8:39, with a feathered contrail making an additional pattern in the sky.

The temperature was already below zero at this time, even though the day was quite warm at about +7°C, but in the morning it was -10°C and I expect tomorrow morning to be similar.
