Raven flight
A walk along the estuary at dusk. Knottman2 had reported that the Corsican pine in which a pair of ravens has been nesting in recent years, was blown down in one of the recent storms since Arwen toppled several others in November. I wanted to see what the ravens are doing now. They nest early, so it seems likely they were already sitting on eggs when the tree fell. As I was taking this photo, they flew across cronking loudly, and headed for the tall trees around the sailing club boat park. I shall have another look later this week to see if they have established a new nest site.
We had a good day at home, with a catchup over Zoom in the morning with Al and Becca in Bishop Wilton. All is well there, it seems. They are finalising their plans for building their new house later this year. In the afternoon we made a bit more progress with the garden tidy-up.
I'm still trying to manage my exposure to the awful events in Ukraine, though it's hard to come to terms with the utterly callous indifference to human suffering shown by the invaders and the monster who sent them there.
