Tribes and friends

This photo is actually about yesterday.
We were also facing the sun so getting something decent was difficult haha.

I grew up in a sport loving household. My dad and grandpa were both from North London and both support their local team Tottenham Hotspur fc (and that also rubbed off in me!). Then when we moved further into South London we used to see Crystal Palace a lot due to them being about 15 minutes away. My brother supports them.

So on the subject of local teams - yesterday a group of us went to watch our local team AFC Wimbledon at their new sports ground. (They lost sadly, as did my main team!).

I find sports allegiances fascinating. It brings people together in tribes. But also divides people for the same reason!

The hours one can spend celebrating and going over moments and strategies and frustrations and joys.
It has provided me with such an "in" to linking with so many people.

It's nice to share this with friends too. We then had a lovely evening out together. Yesterday was a massive blessing.

I am definitely my father's daughter.
