Ashwell church

Church of St Mary the Virgin.  I was fascinated by the fact that this side of the tower does not have a clock. The other three have.  It was so that the workers in the field would not be continually looking at the time!  

Some friends of ours used to live here many years ago when our son (red jacket) was quite young.  We had three children then two girls and our son. Our friends had two girls. We used to leave our son with Ro’s mother while we took the two girls with us.   

Anyway we were trying to find their house but Ro and I had different memories and we never found it! 

Beautiful smell coming from the kitchen!
