Oignons

I’ve had onions in the fridge for a couple of weeks now, so finally got the chance today to make French onion soup.

Supposedly, keeping them in the fridge means they don’t make you cry when you chop them. What a load of nonsense, my eyes were streaming!!

I even used a mandolin to slice them, so wasn’t really touching them but they still made me cry.

The soup turned out lovely, so I’ve got a couple of portions for my lunches this week and the rest will go into the freezer ready for some other time :-)
