Leven Terrace

It was a lovely spring day with sunshine that had the newly blooming daffodils sparkle and dance to the rhythm of the breeze. Not to be outdone, the large swathes of Meadows’ crocuses in every colour opened up to the warmth.

People strolled on the paths and youths played football on the grass- so Sunday, so Edinburgh, so normal that one couldn’t help but think that the people of Ukraine would have been doing that just three weeks ago in city parks in Kyiv, Lviv and other towns now razed to the ground. It’s so shocking it is almost unthinkable.
