The Big Opening

When I headed out to the rooftop garden early this morning I was hit by a blast of the heavy perfume of the epiphyllum straight away (night blooming orchid cactus).  
It was quite a thrill to see as there were about 20 blooms open and some had already collapsed meaning they had opened last night. 
In extras is a shot of the biggest patch with the most blooms.  There are smaller ones who also managed two or three blooms.  Its been really humid and I think they like that tropical feel to the air.  
I just saw on Amazon that you can buy one of those long leaves for $68.00 wow I never realised they were worth so much!!! :o). I started with one leaf which I purchased for a $1 at a Sunday market about 25 years ago!
