to Re-purpose

Last Autumn I was admiring the strawberry planters that a neighbour had fabricated making use of redundant wooden pallets.

It has taken me some time to pluck up the courage and to try and remember my rough carpentry skills...

But now I am able to demonstrate the end product.  So far as strawberries are concerned the design has certain advantages. It is tall enough to raise the plants away from pests and at the same time allow the runners to be controlled. Oh and it cost very little to produce and makes use of  home made compost!
