Saturday: Don’t Stand Underneath

At the moment, we only have a couple of suitcases worth of stuff in the house so not much to report on making it homely.  Rather excitingly, the internet guy came round this morning so the line is now active.  The router should arrive tomorrow after which we’ll be up and running on the internet (I’m currently hotspotting from my phone so access is limited).

We then walked to the supermarket, about a 10 minute walk, and got in our most immediate needs.  This church is just round the corner and gives you a sense of the icicles that are still around.  Other than that, we haven’t ventured too far - it’s pretty cold (-13C), we don’t really have the right gear and what we do have isn’t due to arrive until early next week.  Luckily it’s set to warm up (well, into plus temperatures) later this week.

The extra is our back deck.  I sent K off to ascertain how deep the snow was.  Short answer - thigh deep.
