Settling down for the long wait

Mrs Mallard has settled in her favourite nesting spot in a very suitable hole in a tree trunk. Easy to miss but once you know where the tree is it’s easy to keep an eye on proceedings.

A morning of showers and some spells of sunshine but we avoided the worst of the rain by going inside for a coffee.

Met up with friends this afternoon for a catch-up chat while enjoying a cuppa and some appetising dainty nibbles.
