Drumstick Primula

As we parked in the car at Balmacara Mains this little purple flower caught my eye.

I just loved the purples and greens against the pine cones, twigs, leaves and deserted snail shell. As well as the contrasting colours there is the abundance of textures too.

It is said that Ghandi stayed as a guest here in 1931 and quite possibly paddled on the beach...
