blossom

The morning was sunny, dry and irritating.. say no more.. the afternoon, wet and windy until a little glimpse of blue appeared briefly and tempted me out for an evening walk.  Precious little light for this view of blossom to really shine but instead the road is shining and the blossom just joyful. 
I had always thought this was blackthorn but I found a lot of little yellow plums on it last autumn so I guess it is a wild plum tree or three.  I felt better for the walk and now we are having an Indian Take Away for supper... thank heavens it is the weekend.
