My morning floor

I love coming downstairs on sunny mornings, when there are crisp shadows of plants on the garden room wall, leafy patterns outside the dining room blinds, and then, when I open them, the lines of shade and blocks of light our furniture makes on the tiled floor. I thought this might work for the Abstract Thursday perspective challenge - thank you Ingeborg - and I didn't have time to try the outdoor things I was hoping to do. By the time I had supported J at her morning online film group, finished giving her lunch and prepared the big box of ruby chard I picked yesterday, the light was fading. I just had time for a bit more pot and seed tray emptying outside before I was needed again. I'm determined to give all my pots and trays a thorough wash this year, after last summer's whitefly infestation, and to clean up the deck and bring it back to being the attractive and accessible outdoor space it's supposed to be.
