Flower Friday @ No 11
This is a weatherboard house from 1950. Once upon a time the Government addressed the housing shortage by lending money for small, low cost houses of three bedrooms. A bedroom for parents, one for boys, one for girls. I spent my first five years in a house like that except it was made of bricks. They all had a similar roof pitch and square foot print. I suspect that later on the side bit was added to make the house bigger.
Happy weekend to all and don't google the song. I have the chorus stuck in my head now.
Our House by Madness 1983
. . . Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our
Our house it has a crowd
There's always something happening
And it's usually quite loud
Our mum she's so house-proud
Nothing ever slows her down
And a mess is not allowed
Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our...
Our house, in the middle of our street . . .
