Catching Some Rays..

...Before the Sun Goes Down...

It was a pretty good day today - eye-wise - so this afternoon I ventured down to Lynde Shores..It has been a while, and things have certainly changed down there!  Most of the snow has gone, of course, but the marsh is still frozen. All the picturesque ice sculptures have melted and the winds plus run-off have carved out the shoreline and actually created a stream going from the marsh over the beach to the lake!

I was surprised at how few ducks and geese were hanging out there today ..I have no idea where they have gone - probably north away from the lake? .I certainly don't blame them for finding "greener pastures"...It can be bitterly cold down there. In fact, I don't understand why they choose to stay here for the winter at all when they could fly south to warmer climes!

There were not many people around either, so I had a pleasant time meandering along the beach just enjoying the fresh air and being outdoors for a change. My vision is still bit of a nuisance but at least I have an iPhone with auto focus and can still come home with blips!  And I can always depend on a Canada goose or two to step up to the plate to be photographed ..as they did today..but I ended up choosing a group shot from far away instead...
