Nuts!

Today I’ve discovered our world has been enriched with six famous cartoon squirrels since the 1940s. I know, I was shocked too, but read on, let me introduce them to you:

Screwball Squirrel - the first animated squirrel from the 1940s described as the wackiest squirrel ever created!

Rocky Squirrel - an amazing flying squirrel who partnered with Bullwinkle the Moose on their own TV series from 1959 to 1964.

Secret Squirrel - a buck toothed secret agent, the James Bond of the rodent world, televised 1965 - 1967.

Sandy Cheeks - wore a diving suit and lived underwater on the Spongebob Squarepants Show, beginning 1999.

Scrat - Ice Age movies introduced this saber toothed acorn obsessed squirrel, 2002 to current.

Scaredy Squirrel - offbeat squirrel learning to be comfortable in his own skin, ahem, fur. A TV character based on Melanie Watt’s children’s novels, 2011 - 2013.

And for any of you wondering about Disney’s Chip ‘n Dale? They’re chipmunks!!
