Thanks
It was lovely to receive this card and flowers from our old church. We left without them really realising that we were not coming back as usual so no thanks were offered at the time. Mrs TT was a little miffed that nobody had thanked her for her twenty years as organist so she was delighted that the congregation had signed this card for both our contributions.to church life and sent a lovely bunch of flowers. We were a little disappointed with the French post. I had a strange call while I was out saying a delivery was about to be made but there was no card in the box so I thought it was a mistake. However, I checked later with the post office and they suggested checking a local shop which is a collection centre. Sure enough, the flowers were there but had been sitting in their box for three days. Nevetheless the flowers have lasted well.
This morning David, a very good tennis player who can no longer play competitively due to serious degenerative osteoarthritis, fed me balls and gave me a two hour training session. Even with his seriously restricted mobility he can beat me easily!
