Foxy Loxy
Last night I had the idea to set up my dog barking driveway sensor in the back garden, after gennepher's cat diner had closed for the night. After all, the neighbour's dogs bark at night, so why should my electronic dog not bark to deter the fox?
I was unhappy because Shadow turned up late, after dark, for her food, and couldn't understand why I did not go out with wet food for her. I felt bad the other cats are being penalised because of Foxy Loxy.
I told Shadow that gennepher's cat diner would open again at first light this morning. And indeed she came out of the undergrowth at first light, greeting me with miaows and rubbing against my legs. She will allow me to stroke her, but any attempt by me to pick her up, she turns into a wild thing. She had 3 bowls of food.
Anyway, you might want to know what happened about the dog barking driveway alert alarm?
Simple answer, I cannot tell you as I do not wear my hearing processor in the night!
But I set my iPad, and also an app on my Pixel phone, to time stamps and to describe all the noises in my garden in the night.
The iPad has a fondness for telling me that glass is breaking every few minutes. It does this in the bungalow as well. You would think that every burglar was in this neighbourhood from the information from the iPad. But it did also tell me when a 'dog' barked, and when a 'cat' miaowed. Among other noises. The Pixel phone corroborated the information on the iPad, apart from the 'glass breaking' which the iPad is obsessed with.
So, I can confidently tell you that there was barking in my garden in the night according to my pixel phone and the iPad.
And when I looked out at first light, nothing had been moved by Foxy Loxy, nothing stolen, and no fresh stinky fox scent, no bulbs dug up or moved.
I think the dog barking driveway sensor worked last night.
It will be going in my garden tonight, after I have recharged it, in a slightly different position.
Creative today. Alas not the kaleidoscope you were hoping for, but a cartoon of Foxy Loxy and what he had been hoping for from my garden last night...
Got to dash.
Stuff to do.
Ideas to carry out.
Writing to do.
And stray cats to feed...
Have a coffee!
