Sleeping With The Poultry

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Craig sent me this picture of Shenée napping with a chicken. Which is just adorable, I'm sure you'll agree.

I was in high spirits pretty much all of today. In fact up until about two hours ago when I found that Kāinga Ora have reneged on some promises made to me about my contract extension. 

Worse, no-one bothered to mention it to me. I found out because another BA put his foot in it without realising what he was saying.

So my toys have gone out of the pram. Or rather they will first thing tomorrow. 

In better news, I may have missed out on that job for Carissa at the Ministry of Education, but her colleague is hiring and I am interviewing with her tomorrow. Hopefully she is Carissa 2.0.

All the same. I am not happy. 

Actually no. It is not that I'm unhappy. 

In fact, I'm really sad. It occurs to me now that the two things are not the same. 

Does that make sense?  

But Shenée with a chicken. That's got to raise the spirits, right?
