Is your imagination ready for this?
This funny faced little Honeyeater, sitting here looking all bedraggled in the rain, is officially known as a juvenille Blue Faced Honeyeater, but that isn't the point of this photo. You'll have to use your imagination...
As I was preparing dinner, looking out the window occasionally at the hoards of birds who had gathered for their evening meal, three kookaburras sat along the back of this chair where the Honeyeater is seen here, with a collection of Honeyeaters perched on the seat below.
While I watched, one of the Honeyeaters decided to latch onto a kookaburras tail feathers, giving them quite a tug!
With no reaction from the kookaburra, the Honeyeater decided to give it another try! Boy did that little guy tug away at those feathers! I half expected the poor kookaburra to lose a feather or two, but amazingly, it didn't!
How did you go, could you picture this funny sight? (Where's that darn camera when you need it?!!)
