A bright corner on a dark day

A very dull rainy today . My sister Marion and John came today for lunch - lots of conversation and no outside time again today other than taking Bramble to the vet.
I have had a problem with my eye the last few days - I understand it is quite common and not often serious unless the retina tears - hoping the flashing and the headaches subside after another night's sleep.
Horrifying news again today with the bombing of a maternity hospital . Quite beyond belief.
