Tall Storeys

Suddenly aware of lots of noise in the middle of the day - scaffold was being erected next door.
They have roof tiles which are needing attention. A fact which we noticed a few years ago and pointed out to the then owners.
The current owners are selling and the buyers want this fixed. Fair enough.
Their house is one storey higher than ours. It’s a long way up and a big effort to get up there for a relatively small but important job.
Shame they’re moving.
They are nice folks to have next door.
Hope the new ones are as nice - it’s a lovely, friendly little road that we live in.
