Home sweet home

Beneath this pile of reeds there are lots of branches holding up the reeds. They were put there in 2019 with the intention of burning it all at some convenient time. But then the rain came and the pond was flooded and has remained pretty full since. Mr and Mrs Moorhen decided it was just the home they were looking for. So they moved in, created a front door and I believe, live happily with their young. We will not disturb them!
