The Field Of Blue (and White)

I was at yearly check-up today.  My lungs are clear (I had to have x-rays) and my breathing is good - this is always good to know.  So I'm allowed to keep breathing for another year.

After the appointment I decided to walk into town and just enjoy the sunshine.  I liked the sun on the flowers.  I liked the sun on my face.

It's interesting seeing how things on what was my usual walk home have changed.  Where the American Arms Hotel* was is now a building site with lots of ludicrously expensive identikit flats being built.  It's on the Frankfurter Straße - already a road that gets choked with traffic -  I'm sure it'll be much better when 1000 people and their cars move in.

Not my problem.

*It really was called that.  Used for US military personnel and I'm sure the name was an intentional joke..
