Remnants
Cornwall is a beautiful place. But what is really interesting is it's history.
It has been a strong fishing community. It has been a mining community. It has
been a strong farming community. It has also been one of the poorest parts of England.
Existence and survival was hard.
Behind the 21st century facade, if you look, there are still remnants of the hardships of this past, the old fishing cottages, the derelict mine chimneys, the ramshackle barns and outbuildings and the cemeteries.
