First sign

One of the things I look for every year is the first leaf on the vine in our conservatory which has been giving us grapes for the past decade or more.

Two years ago it appeared on the 9th of February.   Last year it was much later - the 20th of March.   This year it was today and from this angle looks like a wee gargoyle.

None the less it is very welcome.
