The Double Cluster
So called because there are two of them, close together. This area of the sky is where Perseus and Cassiopeia meet, the Milky Way runs through it and it is dappled with many clusters and nebulae.
In order to bring out the nebulae I need to have much more transparent and dark skies than the Bortle 8 light pollution that I have to endure. I could also do with specialist filters. Frankly, once you get into astrophotography it becomes a money pit, ever more sophisticated computers, software, telescopes, mounts, guide scopes etc.etc....
I try to get by on a budget and quite enjoy seeing what can be achieved on the cheap!
