Snowdrops at St. Colme House, Fife

The first Sunday in March, and a proper Spoke's Ride. Most Coronavirus restrictions have been lifted. It is sunny and cold as I head down to the start outside the Usher Hall.

We leave at 10:15. The cycle paths heading out of Edinburgh, over the Firth of Forth and along the coastal path in Fife are all quite busy with cyclists and walkers. This is the best Sunday in ages has brought people out. Lots of sunshine. There are lots of snowdrops and crocii. The best display of snowdrops is near St. Colme House on Beech Avenue. There is time to stop to get the blip, which looks better in the mid day sunlight.

After lunch at the Aberdour Hotel, we head home. On the way back, there is a group of photographers taking photos of some daffodils that are open. All paths are still very busy with walkers. Extra is taken near St. David's Harbour. on the other side of Dalgety Bay. It is nice to head back over the bridge to South Queensferry. We follow NCN 1 back to Cramond Brig. This path is quite quiet, than again, it is right next to a busy road. We get back to Roseburn, the end of the ride about 4:30pm, and home about 5:00pm.

The whole ride can bee seen at Relive here.
