The Swan

We continued on down the Trent & Mersey Canal.  Weather varied between sunny and cloudy but very cold.  I lost count of how many layers of clothes I had on.  Not my ideal route far too few locks.  We did fit in three before we arrived at Fradley Junction where the Coventry Canal joins the T & M.

Owing to the number of winter stoppages for maintenance the only route which would give us much distance was along the Coventry canal, so we turned into it past the swing footbridge. We moored as we always do, away from towns, visitor moorings etc.

This claims to be the most photographed pub in the country but I was lucky today and caught swans in front of The Swan.
