Bean tunnel and parsnip soup
It's the last week of term and freelance work is getting increasingly busy so the only time to go to the allotment today was lunchtime.
I made some progress with the bean tunnel - I cut wood batons for joining up the posts. This will help support the weight of the heavier plants I plan to train vertically (e.g. cucumbers and squashes). I won't be putting up the jute netting until planting time as that's quite a quick job.
I enjoyed some homemade parsnip soup by the pond while looking at the remaining parsnips that will soon be used up to make space for spring and summer veg.
