Nesting

Spotted on a lineside post, a wagtail. Time for nest building?

I was waiting to see the train of course. Ruth was assisting the guard and as part of her training she gets to keep a lookout during the trip. Very exciting when you are fifteen, especially if you get to use the flag to signal to the loco crew. She is staying in the volunteer hostel under the care of a sensible twenty-something.
