Waxing crescent moon

I took lots of bird photos this afternoon, but when I went to take the card out of the camera, I found it had not been inserted properly, and therefore held no images.  Fortunately, I had also managed some shots of the moon. It was 17.7% illuminated at 17:04. I tried a bit of sharpening on this image, and I think some artefacts have been introduced towards the top of the image.
