The Final Control

Today was the British Middle Orienteering Championships at Rushmere Country Park. Shorter courses but with more controls. Fast and furious running favoured the quicker runnners. The need to take quick bearings wasn’t in my favour as I had to stop to stop the compass slipping.

Really enjoyed the course and that I finished with dry feet!

Wandered back to meet Richard and to grab a photo. Rather liked this photo of the last control showing how the sport attracts all ages. The youngest competitors are M/W10 up to M/W90.

Really enjoyed our weekend away but looking forward to a weekend or two at home.
