Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

Slow Soothing Sunday

This is the view north from our front windows. With the changing seasons our view now reveals the sun sinking over the northern hills. It's been fun each time we've been here to see the difference in where we view the setting sun.

A lazy day - again this afternoon we drove the 4+ miles to Morro Bay to see if any of the yard sales were still happening. We stopped at one little yard where everything was marked 25 cents. I got myself a pair of Levi's, well not the original brand Levi's but a nice pair of play pants. Also got a deep brown sport jacket. Mr. Fun found several "treasures" too - a Krups coffee maker that works fine, and honestly everything was 25 cents. Can't beat that.

The we stopped at the "Dollar Tree" store - everything is $1 and they have lots of interesting items, but we try to purchase useful items, like Windex, Comet Cleanser, TP, etc. for the house. Then to the other end of the parking lot to do the "real" grocery shopping at Albertson's grocery store. I had made a quick menu for the week and we pushed our cart up and down the aisles getting just what we needed. Then back to the car and the short drive north to home in Cayucos so we could make a quick and delicious dinner of tacos while watching the sun begin its gradual descending to the horizon.

Good night from Cayucos on California's Central Coast.
