Mud

Having had our planned Wild Walkers route binned because the pub has a Wake that day, we now have to find another route.
Went reconnoitring today and encountered loads of mud. A mile across newly planted crop fields was particularly disgusting so we went in search of a better option and think we may have found it. Just got to walk it again next week to see if the floods have subsided and if it has dried out at all. Today we ended up close to 8 miles and over three hours walking - and no lunch!
The gov now valiantly cleaning the boots.
